Giorgia Scisciola is a freelance contemporary dancer, performer, and teacher based between Rome and Vienna while actively working across Europe.
Born in May 1996, she pursued her professional dance studies at the Dance Arts Faculty in Rome and Nuova Officina della Danza in Turin.
She began her professional career as a freelance dancer, appearing in productions in 2018 and 2019 by Mauro Astolfi, Spellbound Contemporary Ballet, Norrdans, Ella Rothschild, Eva Urbanova, and Sarah Wong.
From 2019 to 2022, she was part of Theater Regensburg's ensemble under the direction of Georg Reischl, performing works by internationally acclaimed choreographers such as Luca Signoretti, Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich, Simone Elliot, and Reischl himself.
In 2022, she joined Theater Münster under Lillian Stillwell's direction, where she had the opportunity to work with choreographers including Paloma Muñoz, Judith Sanchez Ruìz, Annie Hanauer, James Vu Ahn Pham, Giuseppe Spota, and Marguerite Donlon.
Returning to the freelance scene at the end of 2023, she collaborated with artists such as Juan Tirado, Rebeka Mondovics, Laureen Drexler, Eva Urbanova, Gioele Coccia, and Filippo Buonamassa in various European countries. She also participated in the touring production The Last Dance, choreographed by Eva Borrman, Yahi Nestor, Pablo Sansalvador, and Simone Elliot in Ulm, Germany.
As a teacher and certified dance pedagogue, Giorgia has experience working with professionals as well as amateurs of all ages. Alongside her performance career, she teaches contemporary dance with a focus on movement quality, improvisation, and composition, providing young professionals with essential tools for their development.
